Innovation Lab

Innovation Lab, In Progress

The Innovation Lab at the National Aviation Hall of Fame is a space for students to perform inquiry-based experiments grounded in STEAM concepts. The project is currently under construction and will open soon!

I was sub-contracted as the lead 3D designer (Groe Design Studio) by Tanata Productions for this project.

Renderings show the design intent for the Innovation Lab and were used to raise funds for the project. The design has changed slightly from what is shown, but the initial concept remains the same.

The lab's steel and glass structure ties into the mezzanine above and protrudes out into the gallery space.

Cases filled with objects, graphics, and interactive kiosks activate the exterior walls of the lab showcasing innovations in aviation. This integrates the lab into the larger gallery context.

Touchable objects within the lab give visitors a chance to engage with real flight deck instruments.

Come back for more progress on this project soon!
